The Federal Institute of Sports Science (Bundesinstitut für Sportwissenschaft, BISp) funds a two-year research project on the self-regulation of endurance performance.
This project is a cooperation between Maik Bieleke (Dept. of Psychology), Wanja Wolff (Dept. of Sport Psychology), and Raphael Bertschinger (Dept. of Training and Movement Science). It will investigate how tailored if-then plans affect psychological, neuronal and physiological markers of endurance performance in non-elite and elite cyclists. The project will be managed by Anna Hirsch, a former student of the Social Psychology and Motivation group, in the context of her dissertation.
